What does my child need to participate?
They just need a very inexpensive, old digital camera that the adults maybe don't even use anymore. Nothing too nice. We will be venturing out for field work so it should be something you are ok with your child handling all day. Please let me know if you have any questions.

ABOUT SHANNON JENKINS - Mother and Photographer
I have been photographing weddings for now 9 years and truly enjoy capturing the union of a man and woman as they enter life together. I married my best friend and love of my life 12 years ago and now have a wonderful (sassy) daughter and 2 dogs. I love my family and am truly blessed that I get to watch and document others making commitments to each other and families growing. I love what I do for a living. Each wedding inspires me to do even more and to be more creative. I love my brides and families, they are all so wonderful and it is such a privilege to get to know each one and create memories that mean everything to them, that they will treasure for lifetimes. Every time I see a mom's face when she sees her newborn's photos, or capturing those expressions, I am so happy. It is a very rewarding profession to be a photographer.

ABOUT SHANNON JENKINS - Teacher
I have taught Sunday School for preschool through 2nd grade for almost 6 years. I have photographed the children at The Creative Learning Center at The People' Church for four years now. I held a fun camp in 2008 where all of the money went to an Africa mission's trip for my sister. I enjoy working with children and experiencing their honesty and carefree attitudes. Afterall, aren't we all just big kids with resposibilities? That's why I make learning fun! This will be my second year teaching children photography and I am very excited to get to know your child!

RAVES:
"Gabrielle participated in Shannon's camp last year and loved it! She learned so much and really enjoyed all the different aspects of photography that Shannon introduced through the camp. The pictures she came home with were amazing (and they even learned to edit and alter pictures on Adobe Photoshop)! Check it out if you've got a kid who's interested at all in photography!" - Kelly Savage

"We did it last year and the girls are STILL talking about it. In fact, they often insist on taking our pics since they are now so well versed in the digital camera! I often have to turn to them to ask how to use it!" - Edwina Minar
